Allegro

Rev up your rail pass or ticket on the Allegro, the train that allows you to enjoy breakfast in a Vienna Beisl and an early dinner in a Venice ristorante that afternoon, or dine onboard and continue your journey onward to Rome or Milan via a Eurostar Italia connection instead.

The Allegro features new, fully air-conditioned non-smoking coaches and secure storage for your bike. Early morning and early afternoon departures provide flexibility for every vacation schedule. Sleeper compartments and first-class berths are available on all trains. Reservations are required.

Smoking is forbidden on all Allegro trains.

Family Special: One child (6 - 14 years) in the company of an adult can travel to Italy for just €5. This price applies for a 2nd class seat – but can also be taken in conjunction with a couchette or sleeper (surcharge for couchette or bed); Traveling in the couchette (6 beds) costs just €25 - for the one child.

Deluxe now has the option of a Deluxe sleeper with shower and WC; if two adults travel together to Rome together in a new Deluxe compartment, one child under 14 years of age can travel along for FREE!

  • The ticket:
    To travel on Allegro trains a ticket and a seat reservation must be purchased. The tickets are therefore only valid for the day and train booked.
  • Pre-sale and date change:
    The ticket can be purchased up to three months prior to the date of departure, at authorized points of sale. If, once purchased, the departure date needs to be changed,a new ticket must be bought in the country where the original ticket was purchased.
  • Prices vary according to:
    • the journey;
    • the service and accommodation: night vs. day (1st and 2nd class)
